MOTIVATION ME-How to Achieve your Goals, Dreams & Purpose!!

If this sounds familiar to you than I want to share with you that you are not alone.

All of us including myself have experienced times of lost & or lack of Motivation!!

I would like to share with you some Tips for Getting Motivated when it becomes a Struggle!!

1-Count your Blessings-

There’s so much to be thankful for – the people in your life, your health, having food on the table – even the simplest things! What are you thankful for? Make a list on your phone, so you can look at any time. I guarantee you won’t be feeling down for long!

2-Set the Bar Low-

Sometimes our Expectations become too high. We become discouraged because they become impossible to achieve. So, instead set small & specific goals to complete. You can always raise the bar back up once you become motivated.

3-Get a Pump me up Playlist

Sometimes when I need an instant pick-me-up I go to my playlist. Can you think of a few songs that when you listen to them, it puts you in a good mood? Make a special playlist of songs and save it for the times when you need an extra push.

Most importantly, surround yourself with people that lift you up and inspire you to do more. Create an environment for success! Be aware when the lack of motivation comes on and adopt habits like these to get yourself out of a slump right away. And remember… You can do ANYTHING!!

On March 28,  of this year,  I had the blessed opportunity to host a Women’s Prayer Breakfast at Center of Hope Community Church in Oakland, CA.

My team and I did not have a lot of time to plan this great fellowship opportunity for women But we all agreed that the Breakfast should focus on the issue of  Shame!!

I was delighted to see the numbers of women who arrived early with great expectation on Saturday morning.  The women had the desire to be enlightened, informed, delivered and empowered from Shame.

The atmosphere was filled with the spirit and it was high, so high that I couldn’t help to be overjoyed!  The women in attendance were also very eager to receive a blessing from God!

Shame does not discriminate it affects all people regardless of race, creed, sex & or age.  This universal issue evokes the feelings of humiliation, guilt and embarrassment.  Shame flourishes in darkness and secret places that are hidden and buried deep within.

I realized that this issue of Shame is important to address for deliverance.  The issue of Shame cloaks many people because of someone or something or some unforgettable traumatic experience that has happened in our past. It  was crucial for us  to discuss the topic and expose it in order for deliverance to occur.

Some examples in which Shame can be identified is in family history, relationships, divorce, abuse, and addiction.

If you are dealing with Shame today,  I would like to share with you some simple tools that have Helped me in Dealing with Shame!

1-Be Honest with Yourself
Admitting to yourself that you have a problem with Shame & you are ready to address  it & Be free from it!

2-Find someone who you can trust to Share your Story of Shame with-this person should be someone you can trust and be nonjudgmental, this should also occur in a trusting environment.

3-Seperate yourself from those individuals and environments that have a tendency to make you feel Shameful.

4-Understand that this issue is Bigger than Yourself, your healing  is not only for yourself but also an opportunity for you to help others deal with their Shame by sharing your story.

My prayers are this has helped someone deal with their Shame &  to not be Afraid & or Embarrass to   Reach out for Help!!
