Unfortunately, life will deal us situations where the drink is not so refreshing. We may find ourselves walking around feeling weighed down and heavy with the situations of life: lemons of depression, health concerns, marital issues, relationship problems, forgiveness issues of self and others, financial misfortunes, and a host of other “lemons.” How do we look at these lemons and learn to make lemonade out of them? I decided to examine myself and think about what has occurred this month and to be honest my first reaction was WOW!! How in the world did I accomplish all of this in such a short span of time? Projects at work, the kids going back to school after vacation break and new year’s resolutions that I had prayerfully made and now it was time to Execute!!
This is why I decided to focus more on Positive Thoughts because my thoughts (thinking) are what shapes my Mind & my Mind shapes my Emotions & my Emotions will shape my Reactions & Responses. I would like to share with you some tips that have helped me with Positive Thinking whereby, Stinking Thinking from your Mind!!
1- Start looking at the Glass half full instead of half empty when you attempt to solve a problem 2-Close your Ears to Negative talkers & walkers 3-Do not put Limits on your Dreams 4-Practice positive confessions daily
Phil. 4:8″Whatever is true, whatever is honorable & whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, if there is any excellence, if there is any worthy of praise dwell (think)on these things”.
So many of us walk around thinking of ourselves as defeated, a failure, unworthy and unlovable. Sometimes it is that way because of past hurts or abuse or because something we had hoped for just did not work out the way we had planned, or because of feeling less than others around us.
The problem is once you see yourself that way, you will start speaking of that way and eventually it will lead you to a life of negativity. It becomes a generational cycle!
The Word of God says wonderful things about us. These very words give life and are the words we should choose to believe. For example, one of my favorite verses is 1 Peter 2:9. “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood…God’s special possession” (1 Peter 2:9). “Chosen people” means God chose you. Not the other way around. And He chose you for great and lovely things.
If you happen to be one that does not struggle with negative words or thoughts, that is fantastic. However, there are many who fight with these negative thoughts and therefore it comes out in our speech.
Below is a list of affirmations found in the Bible that will help you in your daily lives.

It takes 21 days to form a habit. Over the next 21 days, let’s say and think what God says about us. Not what we say or think. Not what others say or think. Only what God says.
Courage is developed by embracing our greatest fear & not being deterred by them. You’ve heard the ole saying, “Your Thoughts dictate your Actions”, or “You are What you Think” & don’t forget “As a man Thinketh So is He”, Proverbs 23:7.
We all have encountered a something in our lives where we were challenged in facing a fear that we really did not want to deal with.
Eleanor Roosevelt said:
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, “I lived through this horror; I can take the next thing that comes along . . . .” you must do the thing you think you cannot do. That is how things began to change for me. I knew that in seeking my security and strength in the approval of others, I was not being true to myself. Fear of not being liked was making it easy for me to be controlled by people. However, I found the only person that I needed to be controlled by is Christ.
Recently, I was faced with making a life changing decision. The first thought they came to my mind was, What would others think? & or How would they react once the decision was made?
Immediately, I had to catch myself. And remember my thoughts & my decisions are not based on what others think? or How they behave. But they are decided based on my beliefs and my values. If I can offer a Word of Advice to One who may have problems with making
Life Changing Decisions………. 1-Gather up all facts, information & history 2-Do your Homework 3-Don’t decide out of anger, frustration & or bitterness 4-Don’t worry about What others might Think or Say-(Everyone is entitled to their own personal opinion)
