When the battle is raging and you are surrounded by the enemy it is hard to understand that God is in the midst of it. Going through a trial or heartache can crush you. It can seem unbearable especially when you don’t understand why God would allow this struggle in your life. How can the torment that you are experiencing be part of God’s perfect plan for you? It just doesn’t make sense.
We read in James 1:12, “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him”. Each struggle brings an opportunity for God to manifest more of his power in you.. Yet, there are still times when the answer to our prayers for help seems so far away.
The storms of this life can rock your boat but Jesus has promised that you will get to the destination that he planned for you before you were born. When you can trust God despite your broken heart, you defeat the father of lies who wants you to forget that Jesus paid the price for your victory. All the troubles that we must face are obtaining for us an eternal reward that will last forever. You must keep your eyes on Jesus who is able to keep you in his peace even when you don’t understand the purpose for your pain.
There is nothing you are suffering that God didn’t plan in advance to take you through. May it help you to know that there are believers praying for you right now and that God’s love for you will never fail!
Dear Lord, I am praying now for those who are enduring great hardship and pain in their lives. Although they are struggling to stand in their faith, they have become weary and need a touch from you. I pray that you will give them a very real sense of your presence in all that they are going through. I pray that you will fill them with your peace and will open their eyes to know that you are with them despite the fierce storm that is all around them. Help them to continue to walk in trust knowing that you will never fail them and that your divine purpose in their lives cannot be stopped by the enemy of this world. Amen
P.S.- Please share this with someone who is experiencing a Life’s Storm!!
Unfortunately, life will deal us situations where the drink is not so refreshing. We may find ourselves walking around feeling weighed down and heavy with the situations of life: lemons of depression, health concerns, marital issues, relationship problems, forgiveness issues of self and others, financial misfortunes, and a host of other “lemons.” How do we look at these lemons and learn to make lemonade out of them? Take a look at my Video below!!
I decided to examine myself and think about what has occurred this month and to be honest my first reaction was WOW!! How in the world did I accomplish all of this in such a short span of time? Projects at work, the kids going back to school after vacation break and new year’s resolutions that I had prayerfully made and now it was time to Execute!!
This is why I decided to focus more on Positive Thoughts because my thoughts (thinking) are what shapes my Mind & my Mind shapes my Emotions & my Emotions will shape my Reactions & Responses. It is so Important to focus on Right Thinking & Get rid of the Stinking Thinking!! That’s right!! The sort of thinking that will lead you into a ditch of Regret, Remorse & Resent. I would like to share with you some tips that have helped me with Positive Thinking whereby, Stinking Thinking from your Mind!!
1- Start looking at the Glass half full instead of half empty when you attempt to solve a problem 2-Close your Ears to Negative talkers & walkers 3-Do not put Limits on your Dreams 4-Practice positive confessions daily
Phil. 4:8″Whatever is true, whatever is honorable & whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, if there is any excellence, if there is any worthy of praise dwell (think)on these things”.
So many of us walk around thinking of ourselves as defeated, a failure, unworthy and unlovable. Sometimes it is that way because of past hurts or abuse or because something we had hoped for just did not work out the way we had planned, or because of feeling less than others around us.
The problem is once you see yourself that way, you will start speaking of that way and eventually it will lead you to a life of negativity. It becomes a generational cycle!
The Word of God says wonderful things about us. These very words give life and are the words we should choose to believe. For example, one of my favorite verses is 1 Peter 2:9. “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood…God’s special possession” (1 Peter 2:9). “Chosen people” means God chose you. Not the other way around. And He chose you for great and lovely things.
If you happen to be one that does not struggle with negative words or thoughts, that is fantastic. However, there are many who fight with these negative thoughts and therefore it comes out in our speech.

It takes 21 days to form a habit. Over the next 21 days, let’s say and think what God says about us. Not what we say or think. Not what others say or think. Only what God says.
